BONDAWEB BACKGROUNDS

Monday 11th June 2018  10.00am - 4.00pm

The day will be spent experimenting with paint, ink and other mixed media materials on Bondaweb. Develop extraordinary starting points for your textile work with this iron on glue mesh. Apply mixed media processes to it's surfaces to make marvellous backgrounds. The painted Bondaweb will be used on calico to create beautiful backgrounds ready for stitching or further embellishment. You will also be incorporating threads, pieces of fabric, lace, Angelina fibres etc.
Expect to experiment, prepare to be surprised.

£70 to include most materials.

ART APPLIQUE - using your machine's set stitches

29th September 2018 - 10.00am - 4.00pm

A good way to practice your sewing machine skills....spend the day getting to know the stitches on your machine and use them to appliqué shapes onto a fabric background. Some stitches will be decorative and visible, others, hopefully will be invisible! We will also look at some simple reverse appliqué.
